Featured Pup

Meet Captain Jack, he is an F1b Petite Goldendoodle and was born in August, 2010.

Jack had a very normal birth, he was born in a litter of 8, His mother is Tess, and father is Cooper. We didn't notice anything different with Jack, until the other puppies in the litter started opening their eyes, Jack seemed a little behind, his had not opened. We watched him over the next few days, and his eves did start to open, but one eye looked different. As the puppies grew older, and started walking around, Jack acted just as the other puppies, at this point we were convinced that he could see, atleast out of his normal looking eye.

At our Vet visit, he however was diagnosed to be completely blind - his one eye not fully developed, and the other normal looking eye - he appears to see shadows.

Jack is a very special dog - he doesn't know he's blind, he acts the same as all of the puppies, running and playing around. His other senses are very strong - he clearly identifies different poeople by thier voices, smells, ect,

We are looking for a special home for Jack - one that understands his conditions, and has a suitable environment to protect him as he grows. We would like him to goto a quiet home, without small children to chase him around. The ideal home for Jack we think would be with either a retired couple, or with a stay at home mom. We would also want the family to pick Jack up - we wouldn't want to ship him alone.

If you are interested in Jack, we are accepting applications for him - we are offering him at no cost - but want to be very carefull to find him the best home possible.

Update : Jack has found his forever home....
